Felmax boot fit

Hi,

I'm new to the forum and I was wondering if someone could give me advice on the Felmax Kuuva2

I want to order a pair for a hike I have coming up in July, but I'm not sure of the fit and I don't want to order the wrong size.

Right now I wear a Merrell Bare Access in a size 13 us, this gives me plenty of wiggle room for thick socks, I can wear a size 12 us, but since I've switched over to minimalist shoes it seems like my feet have grown, or maybe I'm just like the extra space for my feet to do what they need to do.

I also wear a New Balance Minimus in a size 12 us, but not much wiggle room here, I don't wear thick socks with these. Felmax only offers the Kuuva2 in a size 46=12 us my question is will these be big enough for me?, does anyone own the same shoes I have plus some Kuuva2's to compare the fit against the Kuuva2

Thanks, Jack

Hey Jack, that is a good question. I am not sure about how these boots scale up in the bigger sizes, but here is what I can tell you about my sizing.

I typically wear a mens 9.5 (or size 43 in European sizing). A size 43 in Feelmax fits me just right with thin socks. For the Kuuva2, I sized-up to a 44 so that I could wear it with thicker socks for colder weather. This fit just the way I would expect for a 44. All that is to say, they seem to fit pretty true to size.

That being said... it looks like the Kuuva2 is available up to a size 46, which - in theory - is supposed to be equivalent to a US mens size 13 (depending on who you ask). At least that is what Zappos says here http://www.zappos.com/measure-your-shoe-size

I will also ask Feelmax to respond here, maybe they can shed some light on your sizing question.

I have heard back from Feelmax regarding sizing, and they referred me to this chart http://feelmax.fi/files/1613/3231/7604/sizechart.jpg

Measure the length of your foot from heel to the tip of your longest toe. To do this, place your heel against a wall and measure from the wall to the tip of your toe using a ruler.

The measurements in the chart are for the inside length of the footwear, in centimeters. Extra length needs to be added to the length of your foot measurement to get correct size.

Hopefully this will help you determine whether or not their 46 will be big enough for your feet.
