Just got my Tara Lites in on Friday. So far I have worn them around the house and out for a run on the snowy trails. At this point I am trying to figure out what I think of them... or more like when I would use them.

Thanks for the input so far. I am sure once the weather warms up you will be able to use them More. I will let you know what I think of them when I get mine.

I am on the list to be a tester for the womens version but it wont be available to me until summer. I like Golite very much however I am dubious about this shoe. I have been dubious before though and then pleasantly surprised so I am hoping this is the case with the Tara lites.

Well from a sole standpoint, they aren't all that minimalist. I think that these have potential to be a good cold weather shoe but I am finding that the thick sole and lack of sole flexibility will cause me to reach for something else when the warm weather arrives. They are flat though and have a good trail tread on them.

Found a good deal on these...think they would be ok as a road shoe or too heavy?
I'm looking for something to switch to every now and again from my bikilas...I'm still in the process of transitioning my form and I'm wearing out the bikilas (and my feet) a bit more than I'd like...

My thoughts are that they would be too heavy. A better transition shoe would be the New Balance Minimus Trail. While it is a trail shoe, the sole would be fine for roads as well.

I'd be all over them...
I am supposed to be getting a test pair in the not-too-distant future. As soon as I know more I will definitely let you know.
