Nice review, and i agree about the tread- not the best for icy conditions. I use my TImber Lites for walking back and forth to work in the snow, and if the conditions are icy, i need to be almost as careful as if i were wearing regular sneakers. Other than that, i do like them, and think they are very comfortable. I don't know if i would run in them though.
