Questions & Answers

Hello from Texas

Hi! I've been a full-time barefooter for almost a year. I had no problems in our vicious summer heat, but this winter chill is killing me. I've made a few pair of mocs and huarache-style sandals, but when I need something on my feet I usually default to flip flops (which I hate!) because they're easiest to slip off ASAP. :)

My kids are barefooters too, especially my 5yo. Though he usually opts for bare feet, he still fits into Robeez, lucky kid!

My two-and-a-half-year-old is almost too big to wear Robeez now. I'm curious to see what size the new VFF children's shoes will start in...or if the kid would even wear them.

When my kids were younger, they were quite happy to wear water shoes on our hikes, and barefoot (or crocs - not minimalist!) the rest of the time.

Jerry - My 5yo fits into Robeez 3-4 year size (I think it's equivalent to a kids' size 10-12ish), which you can get on their website or on Amazon.com. He admittedly has smallish feet. My 3yo fits into the same size with lots of room to grow (but his feet are too big for the 2-3yr size.)

I'm not sure I'd put a little kid into VFF. I think it would be a total pain.

I bought a pair of VivoBarefoot for my son last spring, I think they were the Aquarius (kids' version of the mens' Aqua.) Cute, flexible, he loved them. BUT they were an absolute chore to get on his feet because the fit is so snug. I can't even imagine trying to get them onto a younger kiddo with chubbier feet.

Seems like the VFF would have basically the same issues, kind of like getting gloves on a baby - nearly impossible. :)

That's what I figured. She's almost too big for the Robeez and has feet like baked potatoes. I'll give the VivoBarefoot a shot.

Baked potato feet are not likely to fit into the Vivos. I'd probably go for Soft Stars for her. I wish I'd gotten them instead of the Vivos for my son (who didn't have particularly chubby feet, just wide like his momma.)
