Anyone as excited about the Hattori as me?

thanks for the video, but I have already watched it. I even wrote an article about the design of the sole based on my observations from the video, and I actually wrote about how I think it should last, at least longer then the Saucony A4

That looks great for road work, but for trail running, i want a bit more protection, and am still leaning towards the NB Minimus.

no doubt about the minimus for trails! Can't wait, I am going to be spending a lot of money on shoes this spring!

Only a few more days to wait until the minimus comes out!

I run regular in VFF Sprints & Merrell Trail Gloves.
I got a pair of Hattori's recently to add to the collection. I've just sent them back. The uppers just didn't seem sturdy enough. Too much fabric like for me. One solid scrape and it seems like the uppers would rip. My toes are not quite normal and I could see some strain against the fabric even just walking around the house. I'm a bit of klutz so i particularly value durability.
I was also skeptical about the Velcro straps. I didn't feel like the shoe was very secure around my foot.
And, on an aesthetic note, i just didn't like the look. The looked a little too much like slippers to me.
I may have given up on these shoes too quickly but they just didn't seem like the right shoe for me.
A big running shoe company making a real minimalist shoe. Isn't this what we have been waiting for? They are incredible light. I hope those Hattori's last longer than just a few hundred kilometres/miles.
