This is my first ever attempt at a video review. I am still not used to hearing my own voice yet, and I I think I say ah and um too much... I am new at this, so any feedback is appreciated!

Good review, Damien. I like the video format.

Shoes that are 100% rubber seem like they would present some problems. On top of the sweating, I imagine that skin abrasion would become an issue over long distances, whether running or walking. I'll steer clear of these - thank you :)

I just heard from someone else that they prefer written reviews to video ones because they can skim them and glean from them better. Interesting. I wonder what percentage of people prefer one review format over another.

You have a point about written reviews being easier to skim through, but I do like to actually see the product in a more three dimensional view. Maybe an alternative would be a written review with a short 30 second or one minute video of you handling the product and pointing out any significant features. I don't have an overall preference whether it's a written or video review as long as it intelligently encompasses whatever pros or cons the product has.

Thank you for your insight on the evoskins. My initial worries about it revolved around it being a 100% silicone material. Your review confirms it.

That is an excellent suggestion. Maybe I will try that for the next one: a written review along with a short video segment which highlights the important bits.

Good review Damien. I think a combo of short video with indepth written review is the way to go. Adding some other media like pictures. A good example of reviews is probably DCrainmaker website. He does very indepth reviews about running gear like garmin/polar/etc watches. See his site for some examples.

Nice work on the video review! This kind of review beats those 360 image rotation thing-a-ma-bobs any day!
