Just yesterday I discovered a new minimalist footwear company that is in it's start-up phase: SOM Footwear. I quickly reached out to them to garner a few additional details: The shoes have a generous toebox, are zero-drop, have a 10 mm stack height, and no cushioning (other than the removable insole). The uppers are constructed out of a Cordura/Weather Max 65 fabric which is treated with a water repellent. The other feature that these shoes have is that they are made in the USA. They currently have a Kickstarter campaign going to raise funds for expanding their line, and there is only 5 days left! I see a lot of potential here, and hope that if you do too, that you might support their campaign.
