That was a very good review - thanks for the level of detail, you answered all of my questions. I am slightly unclear on the sizing still - you said it was true to size but then suggested it might be a tick small. Would you now still stick with the size 9 or move up to a 9.5? Is 9 your measured size with a sock?

I would definitely go with a 9.5, as this is my typical shoe size.
